Building an Eco-Friendly Hotel in Racine
Hotel Verdant is an 80-room boutique hotel, located just two blocks from Lake Michigan in the heart of downtown Racine. The Hotel Verdant project included the restoration of and a new addition to the existing structure at 500 Main Street. The building original building was constructed in 1925 as the Zahn’s Department Store (“Zahn’s”). Zahn’s quickly became a mainstay for the community of Racine and today many residents still fondly remember their trips to the store. Hotel Verdant also includes the following amenities: a fitness center with a sauna; a spacious, inviting lobby; banquet/meeting space; EV charging stations; home-cooked Italian restaurant; and rooftop bar.
